I'm proud to announce the approval of the "Scarecrow's Hunt" VSS!
While this is a Werewolf VSS, the Games in this game will focus not
include the Forsaken directly. The basic premise is: "Mortal Hunters
being manipulated into hunting the enemies of Werewolves."
While this is a VSS that is open to many of the Mortal PCs, any PC that
is transferring in will have to still get whatever approvals are needed
to transfer said mortal into a Mortals Venue. So, a normal Human with
no powers or anything would be low, while those with powers (Skin
Riders, Second Sight) will have to get higher approval. Also, the VSS
is not designed for Mortals with templates based in other venues
(Ghouls, Sleepwalkers, Ect.).
Note that this VSS will be ran infrequently, and online, at least at
first. This might change if as more players attach.
Below is the VSS; If you have any questions, please feel free to let me

Part 3: Description of Venue
For the Forsaken, the Hunt is everything. To deny its call is to deny
their very being. After all, they are born to take up the duty of
Father Wolf, and keep the Spirit, and the Natural separate.
But the Forsaken are not alone in this task. Indeed, the humans have
always tried to stand up against the darkness, to stand the line. After
all, they have more on the line than a dedication to a long lost
spirit. It is often their own lives, and loved ones they are
protecting… and sadly often, avenging.
Such is the case in Fresno, California, where things have gotten out of
hand. For years, the Pure have ruled the area surrounding Yosemite
National Park. The few Forsaken in=2
0the area have put up a valiant
fight, but things keep coming across. Some of those things are spirit;
some are other monsters that have crossed the lines; Some are things
that simply can not be explained.
It has not been the Forsaken who have stood up to this threat, it has
been the humans! A group of Mortal hunters, known as the Scarecrow have
stood against the Shadow for years now, unknowingly helping the
Forsaken in their hunt. Using their natural team work, patients, and
courage, they have managed to save countless lives from unspoken
But recently, the Scarecrow have been dealt a harsh blow. Cruel and
quick enemies have disrupted the former national organization, and some
of their most respected members have vanished.
To the few Forsaken who have watched, and secretly encouraged the
Scarecrow, this is unthinkable. Now, they must act swiftly to prevent
this group from vanishing, and leaving the few Forsaken in Fresno
vulnerable. They are walking among the Hunters unseen, and guiding
their actions. They are allowing their own kinfolk to join, and to
fight along side of these humans. But they must be careful. These new
hunters may guard the Line, but they may not cross. They must be given
clues, but still kept ignorant, for these are the ways of the Forsaken.
Meanwhile, the Scarecrow, desperate to stay alive, have opened up their
membership to those it might have turned back in the
and others have been invited to join them, as long as their goal is the
same… to watch the shadows, and to stand the line!
Game: At this point, I am trying to gather interest to see who would be
interested in transferring their Mortal PCs, or perhaps making a
Werewolf PC to get in on this game. The game is only appropriate for
Lesser Template PCs, but others may be allowed on a case by case basis.
Right now, there are not plans for live games, with IRC games being
possible in the future, time and participation permitting.
Cross-Venue: See above
Proxy rules: Due to the nature of the game (few active games) Proxies
will not really be appropriate most of the time. Exceptions may be
made, but are not very likely. When they are accepted, all proxies are
hard proxies. ST must be notified 24 hours in advance. If the proxing
player cannot get a person to portray the PC, the ST will assist to the
best of their abilities. In the event that no person can portray the
PC, then the Proxy will be allowed on a case-by-case scenario. The ST
reserves the right to deny a proxy based on power level, or intentions,
which are not suited to the VSS.
Travel risks: a good deal. More detail to come if games actually
Universal Cross-Venue Interaction Appendix, section II.E.3.:
"Characters attached to this VSS may when traveling only play i
native to their supernatural genre (or similarly mixed-venued)."
Experience award guidelines: Due to the infrequent nature of the game,
and the lack of downtime plot, EXP will be increased to 5 per game,
with 1 extra given to PCs whose contribution to the story is above and
beyond the normal.
